We promised a bunch of new controls with the upcoming release which are already a reality. And we didnt stop there. A brand new Visual Studio integration package is coming with Q3, which will significantly increase your productivity when managing Silverlight projects in Visual Studio.  The product helps you work smarter with streamlined features and minimizes the learning curve for new users.

RadControls for Silverlight Visual Studio Extensions provide 5 features to make your life a lot easier.

You can easily access the Extensions through the Telerik Menu in Visual Studio. Wizards for creating/upgrading projects will pop-up, which will help you setting up your Silverlight project faster and easier.

Then you can create a project using any of the project templates provided (for C# and VB.NET). Running any of them you are able to select a RadControls for Silverlight distribution you have installed.

The Extensions provide a great feature that saves you the need to remember the dependencies between the different assemblies. All you need to do is to choose the control assemblies your project needs and the project configuration wizard will automatically handle the dependencies.

Thanks to another wizard the Upgrade Wizard, upgrading to a new version of RadControls for Silverlight is a breeze. You just select the new distribution and the assemblies your project uses get preselected in the assembly list.

Finally you can easily convert your current Silverlight project to Telerik project in which you want to jump-start using RadControls. The Visual Studio Extensions automatically upgrade any external application to become RadControls application with its necessary settings.

If you have already used the Visual Studio Extensions for ASP.NET AJAX, we have great news for you. The Automated Upgrade Wizard is now available for the VS Extensions for ASP.NET AJAX too.
