Initial Stories

The team talked about the project that we are creating, and what we would like to see in the first several releases.  The following stories are below that was determined.

Create tasks that are one-time or recurring. Tasks can be setup to occur once and then be removed, or they can be recurring on various time periods.

Tasks can be deleted. Any task can be deleted from the list of tasks, and any dependencies on the task are removed.

Tasks can be categorized. Each task can be assigned one or multiple categories.

Tasks can be sorted. Tasks can be sorted by multiple properties.

Tasks can be deferred. Tasks can be deferred by any amount of time.

Categories can be added, edited, and removed. When categories are removed, any tasks have to reflect the loss of the category as well.

All tasks within a specific category can be shown. Tasks can be shown based on the category only, which shows a specific set of related work items.

Tasks can be displayed in a calendar. Each task of what is needed to be performed and when can be displayed in a calendar.

Upon completion of a task, mark it complete. Marking it complete calculates the next date to complete a task by.

Track the history of tasks. The history of tasks can be tracked for performance monitoring.

Time periods can be tracked. Time periods can be tracked, and statistics can be added, which can be used to perform calculations (such as gas mileage).
