Tick, tack. The Q3 release is only a few days away and another great product is on its way. Teleriks newest UI suite for ASP.NET MVC will bring the first MVC-native Extensions.
Officially announced in August the CTP versionlaid the foundation of our open source MVC suite by previewing the power of Teleriks UI Extension framework for deploying reusable UI components in MVC views.
As promised, with the Q3 Release we will officially introduce the first 4 homegrown components, part of the Telerik UI Extensions for ASP.NET MVC suite: Grid, TabStrip, PanelBar and Menu. All of them fully embrace the values of the ASP.NET MVC framework - lightweight rendering, clean HTML, clear separation of concerns, easy testability and at the same time provide the needed functionality for any ASP.NET developer.
Once again, our efforts are focused on shipping lightweight components that will deliver ultimate performance to your web apps. The flagship extension, Grid for ASP.NET MVC features a robust Linq-based data engine which pushes the most commonly used Grid operations (sorting, paging, filtering) to the database. The navigation Extensions (TabStrip, PanelBar, Menu) use semantic rendering to keep the page output clean and minimal. The Web Asset Managers included in the package enable you to optimize the delivery of CSS and JavaScript to your pages you combine, cache, compress resources resulting in reduced number of requests and better responsiveness.

All Extensions client side framework is built on top of the open source and Microsoft-supported jQuery JavaScript library. jQuery is used for the animation effects as well as for easy and reliable way to work with HTML elements. The skins are crafted to look identical to the skins for the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX
Road Map
We are shipping a Beta version with Q3. We will be actively seeking feedback and depending on the interest we will be adding more components and features in the coming months. The official release is currently scheduled for Q1 next year.
